Li’l Rick joins SLAM 101.1 FM

Li’l Rick, sacked from Starcom Network, has found a berth with another radio station.
From noon today, the popular and controversial radio deejay and artiste will host a programme on the island’s newest radio station, SLAM 101.1 FM.

On Thursday, Starcom Network announced that Ricky “Hypa Dawg” Reid would no longer be hosting the Makeson Triple Tunes programme on Saturday afternoons on HOTT 95.3 FM. 

Starcom  said that he breached the company’s broadcast policy when music containing lewd lyrics reached the public domain last Saturday.

Managing director of SLAM 101.1 F.M Habib Elias told the SATURDAY SUN that Lil’ Rick was being engaged as a freelance announcer from today, and with open arms.
