Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz stepped arm-in-arm into September. The
pregnant songstress and her husband strolled through Tribeca for a
little shopping on Tuesday (Sept. 1). The Mrs. showed off her legs in
shorts and sandals, while Swizz bared the New York heat in an orange
polo and shorts. The couple is expecting their first child this fall.
Eminem and Jay-Z hit it out of the park during the first of two sold-out
“Home & Home” concerts at Comerica Park in Detroit on Thursday
(Sept. 2). Hip-hop history was made as the hometown boy shared the bill
with his Brooklyn brother, performing for over 42,000 fans.
You thought that Rihanna reign would let up? Time to put down the
Haterade. RiRi, who’s fresh off the success of her fourth album Rated R,
is finishing up her fifth release, with plans in place to debut its
first single next week.

Of her four Rock the Bells Tour stops, Lauryn Hill hasn't had one show exactly like any of the others.
On Saturday in New York, she brought a host of celebs onstage —
including Jay-Z and Beyoncé — and on Sunday, at the closer in
Washington, D.C., Nas was her guest. The two performed Esco's classic
"If I Ruled the World."

The star power of T.I., Chris Brown, Idris Elba, and more proved to be a
powerful force at this weekend’s box office. While it barely missed the
top spot, the action flick still managed to pull in strong figures.
Based on weekend estimates, the horror film The Last Exorcism grossed an
estimated $21.3 million at 2,874 locations, enough to narrowly edge out
Takers, which came in at No. 2 after earning $21 million at 2,206
theaters, according to studio estimates. At this rate, it should have no
problem recouping its $32 million budget.
Reports are that two vehicles belonging to deejay Bounty Killer were
seized yesterday by the persons affiliated with the Tax Administration
Department.
The deejay, whose real name is Rodney Price, was reportedly not at his
Oaklands townhouse this morning when police personnel, two wreckers and
the tax officers paid a visit sometime after 7:00am.
