Nipsey was approached by a man who fired multiple shots at the rapper and his friends outside his Marathon Clothing store on Slauson Avenue, which he opened back in 2017. The suspected shooter allegedly fled the scene in a nearby waiting vehicle which sources said was driven by a female. LAPD tweeted on Sunday evening, “The suspect in the shooting is described as a male black & LAPD South Bureau Homicide is conducting an investigation to locate him and anyone else involved.”
Nipsey was pronounced dead after he was taken to the hospital. Two other victims in the shooting were in serious condition, according to NBCNews.com. The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Ermias Davidson Asghedom, is survived by his two children and his girlfriend, actress Lauren London.
