A planned documentary about late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has become part of an ongoing legal dispute between his widow and members of his family.
Taylor Simone Ledward-Boseman says she is working with production company Words + Pictures on a documentary celebrating the actor’s life and has offered Boseman’s relatives an opportunity to participate under the same terms.
The disagreement comes as Boseman’s brothers seek to have Ledward-Boseman removed as administrator of his estate, alleging delays in distributing assets. She denies those claims and says nearly all of the estate has already been distributed.
Boseman died in 2020 at the age of 43 following a private four-year battle with colon cancer.
