The Guyana Amazon Warriors are through to the Women’s Caribbean Premier League final after defeating defending champions Barbados Tridents by seven wickets at Kensington Oval.
Rain reduced Wednesday’s playoff to eight overs per side, with the Tridents posting 69 for four. Maddy Green top-scored with an unbeaten 30.
In reply, Player of the Match Tazmin Brits struck an unbeaten 35, while Shemaine Campbelle added 22 as the Warriors reached their target with four balls to spare.
Guyana will now face the Trinbago Knight Riders in Thursday’s final, with a new WCPL champion set to be crowned.
