Defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders have been eliminated from the Caribbean Premier League playoffs and will finish the season at the bottom of the standings after suffering a six-wicket defeat to the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Batting first at the Guyana National Stadium, TKR were restricted to 126 for eight from their 20 overs. Justin Greaves top-scored with 35, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz starred with the ball for Guyana, taking four wickets for 23 runs.
The Warriors comfortably chased down the target, reaching 127 for four with eight balls remaining. Shai Hope anchored the innings with an unbeaten 42, while Shimron Hetmyer contributed 28.
Miraz was named Player of the Match as the Amazon Warriors recorded their eighth victory of the season and strengthened their position heading into the playoffs.
It was a disappointing end for defending champions TKR, who managed just three wins from their ten matches. Guyana will close out the group stage against the Barbados Tridents.
