Michael B. Jordan has been named in the Diddy trial during the jury selection.

According to reports, the inclusion of Jordan’s name stems from his brief “romantic involvement with”flirtatious” relationship with Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, in 2015.

Ventura has accused Combs of sex trafficking and domestic violence in a lawsuit filed in November 2023. According to Ventura’s complaint, Combs became enraged upon learning of her relationship with Jordan, allegedly threatening him. This past connection led to Jordan’s mention during the jury selection process. 

The trial, which commenced on May 5, 2025, involves Combs facing multiple federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. Prosecutors allege that Combs operated a criminal enterprise through his record label, Bad Boy Records, and orchestrated coercive sexual events known as “freak offs.” Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been held in federal custody since his arrest in September 2024. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment.
