Jada Pinkett-Smith is being sued by Will Smith’s former assistant.

According to PEOPLE, Pinkett-Smith has been accused of threatening Bilaal Salaam. She allegedly said he would “end up missing” or “catch a bullet” if he continued “telling her business.”

Salaam, who says he’s been a “best friend” of Will Smith for almost 40 years, claims he’s  “worked closely” with the actor. He noted that he was included photos in the actor’s memoir Will.”

Salaam claims that Pinkett Smith confronted him in the lobby of the Regency Calabasas Commons on Sept. 25, 2021, at a private birthday party.

The lawsuit:

The suit states that Pinkett Smith was accompanied by “approximately seven members of her entourage.” Salaam’s complaint says that Pinkett Smith then “became verbally aggressive” and demanded he sign an NDA.

The filing states that Pinkett Smith followed Salaam to his car “while continuing to issue verbal threats.” Salaam also claims he refused a request to assist with “crisis management” following the Academy Awards after Smith slapped Chris Rock.

“Plaintiff refused to perform tasks he believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising. His conscience would not allow him to be involved in any cover-up or deceptive PR campaign,” Salaam’s filing alleges.

Salaam then claimed he received threats from Smith and Pinkett Smith’s circle, and that he was the target of a “retaliatory campaign.” 

He also alleges that when it was discovered that he was writing a “whistleblower memoir,” the “smear campaign heightened.”
