Lizzo Reacts To Ozempic Joke On South Park

In a new episode of the highly-controversial series, South Park, “The End of Obesity,” the topic of Ozempic is mentioned and includes a joke about Lizzo‘s confidence. Ozempic is a weight loss medication meant to help people diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Many celebrities have been accused of using the drug solely for its weight loss benefits, without having an official medical diagnosis. On Friday (May 24), the long-running adult animation series featured an episode where the character Cartman considers using the drug.
However, due to his lack of insurance, he cannot afford the medication. On the other hand, the physical offers him a different alternative: a prescription for Lizzo. “She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity, and just being happy with the way you look. I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day, and watch her videos just before bedtime. I’m afraid you’ll have to be on Lizzo for the rest of your life,” the doctor says. Lizzo quickly caught wind of the episode and offered her opinion of the joke.
