Rihanna and Jay-Z each donate $1 million to coronavirus relief efforts

Rihanna and Jay-Z have joined the growing list of celebrities making generous donations to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
The performers foundations have together donated $2 million to relief efforts — that specifically help the most vulnerable — in Los Angeles and New York City.
Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation and Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation’s donation will support the homeless and elderly, children of healthcare workers, the incarcerated and undocumented workers.
The foundations are also pushing for free COVID-19 testing for all NYC residents. Their money is also being distributed to charities like the ACLU, Mayor’s Fund for L.A., Fund for Public Schools and the New York Immigration Coalition.
