Snoop Dogg To Release New Gospel Album In Honor Of His Late Mother

April 21, 2025

For his latest release on Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg will be unveiling a new gospel album titled Altar Call as a tribute to his later mother, Beverly Tate.

The LP is a sequel to his 2018 album, Bible Of Love, and is set to be released on her birthday, April 27.

Altar Call is described as “a heartfelt testimony, a moment of reflection, faith, and community [and] a reminder that no matter your path, there is always room for grace.”

Speaking with Okayplayer, Snoop shared his excitement about returning to gospel.

“The spirit of my mother will forever live within me. This album is a reflection of what she has taught me to use my voice and my platform to spread love and heal the world. Just another chapter out of the ‘Bible of Love.’”

Spanning 21 tracks, the album features Jamie Foxx’s cover of Bill Withers‘ classic “Grandma’s Hands.” Also,  Charlie Bereal, Jane Handcock, Jazze Pha, October London, Mali Music, Robert Glasper, and the Death Row Mass Choir will make their debut on the project.
