A Nevada grand jury indicted former gang leader, Duane, “Keefe D” Davis, 60, on Friday (September 29) for Tupac Shakur’s murder. 

Jada Pinkett Smith, who was reportedly close in high school with the late icon, shared a few words on social media. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Now I hope we can get some answers and have some closure. R.I.P. Pac.”

Over the years, she’s said during interviews that one of her “biggest regrets” in her life is not telling the “California Love” rapper how she truly felt for him. Last week, she shared a throwback video with him. 

2Pac’s sister, Sekyiwa Shakur, released a statement and called the moment “pivotal,” and a “victory,” but “reserved judgment” until legal proceedings were complete, BBC reports.
